The Lyric String Quartet is a classically trained ensemble with over twenty years experience playing together as well as collective performing experience with the Richmond and Petersburg Symphonies and the Williamsburg Sinfonia.  Our events include weddings, receptions, private parties as well as religious services, funerals, and other solemn events.  Our repertoire consists of late Baroque, early Classical music and quartet arrangements of popular, traditionally used wedding music.  While indicative of performance pieces, the repertoire listed on this site does not include our entire music library.    

 

Upon request, a trumpeter may be engaged to perform with the group for weddings.  While Quartet does not attend wedding rehearsals, the coordinator will arrive one hour before the Prelude starts. This is to assure that last minute changes go smoothly and communication with the wedding coordinator are facilitated. 

The quartet offers two modes of dress for events:

Concert Formal - Black attire for ladies, tuxedo for gentlemen

European Touch - White top and long black skirt or slacks for ladies, tuxedo for gentlemen
